This tip is for one of those Aaargh moments at the computer. No, it has nothing to do with pirates. The other kind of aaargh, like when you're frustrated with something. In this case, technology. More specifically, when you're wanting to print a document to OneNote and the application keeps giving each page of the document its own OneNote page. You want the document printed to one page, but for some crazy reason OneNote keeps printing it as multiple pages in your section. Aaaaaaaarrrrgh!
Not to worry. This is a quick, simple fix. By default, OneNote is set to "print" large documents this way. I'm guessing the rationale behind this setting is so you aren't left with a page in your section that keeps going and going and going. Microsoft figures it'd be easier to locate pages from a large document if they were organized page by page. Sometimes (or maybe every time for you), however, that's not what we want. For example, in a notebook I share with students and parents, I print documents and make them sub-pages for students to use in place of packets or books. It clutters up my notebook section to have all these individual pages listed. If you'd like to change this default setting in OneNote, read on...

Below is a picture of one section from my notebook I use with one of my classes. Let's say I am wanting to place a printout from a document in here.
Now, by default, when I try printing a large document to OneNote, it breaks the document down and prints it into the section as multiple pages.
As you can see based on other pages in this section, this is not at all what I want to happen. Here is the easy fix:
In OneNote, go to File > Options > Advanced
In this window, scroll down until you see the Printouts options. Uncheck where it says "Insert long printouts on multiple pages" and then click OK. That's it.
